2022 Jeep® Gladiator | Allentown, PA
In 2019, the Jeep® brand added the all-new Gladiator to its lineup. This rugged vehicle has similar off-road capabilities to the Wrangler while adding the versatility of a pickup bed. For the 2022 model year, the fun continues with plenty of options to choose from.
There are four trim levels available for the 2022 Jeep Gladiator: Sport, Overland, Rubicon, and Mojave.
Powertrain options
You can choose between two powertrain options on the Gladiator. Standard on all trims is a 3.6-liter V6 rated at 285 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque. There is also an available turbocharged 3.0-liter diesel engine that delivers 260 horsepower and 442 lb-ft of torque. This engine is not available on the Mojave trim.
The 3.6-liter engine comes standard with a six-speed manual transmission. An eight-speed automatic is standard on diesel and available on the 3.6-liter V6. All Gladiator models come standard with four-wheel drive.
Towing and hauling
When equipped with the standard V6 engine, the Gladiator offers a best-in-class gasoline tow rating of up to 7,650 pounds. This is more than enough to carry your boat or even the family camper for a weekend adventure.
It can also carry a best-in-class payload of up to 1,700 pounds, which lets you bring along your favorite toys, like a rugged four-wheeler or dirt bike.
Off-road capabilities
As the first-ever Trail Rated® pickup truck, the Gladiator is designed to go where other trucks can’t. With standard 4x4 capabilities, you know the Gladiator is giving you maximum traction. With its high air intake, the Gladiator can ford creeks and streams up to 31.5 inches deep. Engineers designed the Gladiator with superior articulation. When driving over uneven ground, all four tires stay in contact with the ground.
If you choose the Rubicon model, it comes with up to 11.1 inches of ground clearance. It also comes with a segment-exclusive Sway Bar Disconnect that offers up to 30 percent more front-wheel articulation.
Interior
The rough and rugged exterior is complemented by a comfortable and well-equipped interior. As the only open-air pickup available, you can take off the roof, fold down the windshield, and remove the doors to fully enjoy the outdoors while driving.
The backseat of the Gladiator has room for up to three and is more comfortable and spacious than most other midsize trucks. The rear seats can even be folded down when you need to carry more gear and want to protect your seats.
An available heated steering wheel, heated front seats, and Remote Vehicle Start help keep the Gladiator warmed up and ready to go no matter how cold it gets outside.
The Gladiator is just as capable with its technology as it is with rugged terrain. Most Gladiator models come standard with a 7-inch central touch screen with the latest infotainment system. This includes Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ compatibility.
Exterior
With its class Jeep® styling, the Gladiator is instantly recognizable. There are countless features and accessories you can add to the Gladiator exterior to make it look just how you want it. The available Sunrider® flip-top on hardtop models makes it easy to get an open-air experience without removing the entire roof.
If you love taking the doors off, but miss the visibility of the side mirrors, the Gladiator is available with a new Door-Off Mirror Kit. These mirrors attach to the front hood area to give you the vision you need.
All Gladiator models come standard with a 5-foot cargo bed. An available spray-in bed liner gives the bed an extra layer of protection. The bed also comes standard with four tie-down hooks to help you secure your gear. Add the available Trail Rail™ System for an extra layer of cargo versatility.
